Dr. Revathi Chennabathni | PhD Ed.Psy, M.Phil., M.Ed. | email: rchennabathni
Dr. Chennabathni is the Principal of the Sathya Sai School of Canada. In 2010, she received the Government of Canada's Certificate of Appreciation Award for outstanding service and contribution as a volunteer. Dr. Chennabathni holds a Doctorate in Education from McGill University, a Master of Philosophy from the University of West Indies, and a Master of Education from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. She has 18 years of teaching experience and taught teenage students to teacher candidates in Hyderabad (India), Seychelles (Indian Ocean), and Kingston (Jamaica, West Indies). She has worked as a research assistant and instructor at McGill University, Concordia University and the University of Manitoba. Her research interests include teacher creativity, gender education and the integration of values into the curriculum. Dr. Chennabathni has published several articles and made presentations at professional conferences. She is currently working with the Canadian Institute of Sathya Sai Education as a member of the Research Committee.

Ms. Recht holds a Montessori Primary Teacher Diploma, a B.A. with High Distinction in Religious Studies from the University of Toronto, and Professional Certification from the American College of Vedic Astrology. She has studied Shiatsu, nutrition, and other holistic healing arts, and is a practitioner of meditation and Kriya Yoga. She edited Dr.Charanjit Ghooi's book "Meditation and Health". Ms. Recht was part of the school administration team when school opened in 2000 for three years and returned in 2009. She is currently working with the Canadian Institute of Sathya Sai Education as a member of the Communications, Promotions and Publications Committee.

Mr. Buccella has a B.A. Degree from the University of Western Ontario specializing in Sociology and History. He received his Masters in Teaching from Griffith University in Queensland Australia. Mr. Buccella has completed several qualification courses including Special Education Part 1, Reading Part 1 and a Certificate to teach English as a Second Language. He has varied teaching experience including ESL to adults, tutoring Math and Literacy to children ages 4 to 12 and teaching in a learning centre for children age 3 to 6.

Mrs. Roshan holds a Masters of Education from the Schulich School of Education (Nipissing University/York University). She received her Bachelor of Education from York University. She has a B.A. Degree, specializing in Dramatic Arts, from the University of Toronto. Mrs. Roshan has a certificate in Sathya Sai Education in Human Values from the British Institute of Sathya Sai Education, U.K. She has been Tribes trained and has completed Grade 7 in the Royal Conservatory of Music.

Mrs. Meera Ganga Persad completed twelve years of primary and secondary school education at the Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School, Prashanti Nilayam, India, and then completed her B.Com. at the Sri Sathya Sai University, Anantapur, India. After returning to her hometown, she completed an Accounting Specialist Certification. She completed her M.Sc. in Education from D'Youville College, Buffalo, USA. Mrs. Ganga Persad is musically talented and has performed in various fundraising programs across India, Canada and Trinidad.

Mrs. Jain has a Masters in Applied Mathematics from IIT, Roorkee and a Bachelor of Education from Annamalai University in India. She has extensive experience as an educator, having taught in reputed schools in Kuwait and India, including at the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar in New Delhi. She has a certificate in Sathya Sai Education in Human Values from the Character Education Symposium in Toronto, Canada. She has been Tribes trained.

Mr. Petrevski received his Bachelor of Education from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT), graduating with Highest Distinction. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Guelph, specializing in Theatre and Performing Arts, and also holds a diploma in Information Technology from the DeVry Institute.

Ms. Holy holds an honours bachelor degree from York University with an English major and Geography minor. She has received her Bachelor of Education through York University’s Concurrent Education program. Ms. Holy is Tribes trained and is completing a Sathya Sai Education in Human Values Diploma Course. She has interned for an NGO in Cambodia, working as part of an Education Team focusing on Eco-Ranger and Sports clubs as well as ESL. She also completed her teaching degree in Yellowknife, Northwest territories and has varied teaching experience there. Ms. Holy is musically and artistically inclined, with several years of classical vocal training and a passion for painting.

Ms. Ratnavadivel completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto in 2010, majoring in Health Studies and Psychology. She then received her B.Ed from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. After graduating, she completed an Additional Basic Qualification in Intermediate Family Studies, allowing her to teach the Primary, Junior and Intermediate divisions. She has also completed Additional Qualification in Special Education Part 1 and Reading Part 1. She is currently completing a Sathya Sai Education in Human Values Diploma Course.

Mr. MacDonald completed a B.A. degree in Elementary Education from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, B.C. He is also qualified as an English as a Second Language teacher with CELTA certification from the University of Cambridge, England. He has also completed Additional Qualification in French as a Second Language Part One. He has over ten years of teaching experience including teaching ESL to adults and children in Japan and teaching grade six in Houston, B.C. and grade three and four in Cuernavaca, Mexico.
