The school day begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 3:20 p.m.

Daily Schedule for All Grades

8:00 a.m.	School Opens
8:00-8:14 am	Bell Work & Attendance
8:15-8:25 am	National Anthem, School Prayer & Announcements
8:25 am	Classes Begin
11:20 am	Lunch
3:20 pm	Dismissal

Kindergarten Program

The Kindergarten program runs on a full-day schedule, five days a week.

Both Junior and Senior Kindergarten students will come for a full-day program, five days a week. Junior and Senior Kindergarten will each have independent classrooms. The Kindergarten Program times will follow the ‘Daily Schedule for All Grades’ listed above.

Student Drop Off

All students are asked to remain outside the school before the bell rings unless the weather is severe. A teacher/volunteer will be available for bus and playground supervision only at 8:00 a.m. Please do not drop off your children before this time.

Absences and Lateness

Regular attendance and punctuality are vital for academic success. Please phone the school by 8:30 a.m. if your child will be absent and leave a voice mail message. If we do not hear from you, the school office will contact you to confirm the absence. Kindly send a note with your child upon his or her return.

Punctuality is an important life skill. Please help your child learn responsible behaviour by ensuring that he or she arrives on time. If your child arrives late to school more than three times, you will be contacted to discuss the matter.

Do not send an ill child to school. Children who are too ill to go outside at recess are too ill to be at school.

Extended Holidays

Extended holidays during school time often affect a child’s achievement, and can affect a child’s promotion to the next grade. Extended holidays during school time are, therefore, discouraged. If it becomes necessary to take your child on holidays during school time, please provide prior notification in writing to the Principal at least two weeks before planned departure in order to get long-term homework and assignments.
