Dr. Revathi Chennabathni | PhD Ed.Psy, M.Phil., M.Ed. | email: rchennabathni
Dr. Chennabathni is the Principal of the Sathya Sai School of Canada since 2006. Dr. Chennabathni holds a Doctorate in Education from McGill University, a Master of Philosophy from the University of West Indies, and a Master of Education from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. She has completed Principal Qualification Program, PQP1, from Ontario College of Principals. She has 18 years of teaching experience and taught teenage students to teacher candidates in Hyderabad (India), Seychelles (Indian Ocean), and Kingston (Jamaica, West Indies). She has worked as a research assistant and instructor at McGill University, Concordia University and the University of Manitoba. Her research interests include teacher creativity, gender education and the integration of values into the curriculum. Dr. Chennabathni has made presentations at professional conferences, published several articles and the study “Creative Teachers” published by the Roeper Review. She holds a Certificate from the Canadian Institute of Sathya Sai Education in the Standard Diploma Course: Course One. She is currently working with the Canadian Institute of Sathya Sai Education as a member of the Research Committee.

Ms. Recht holds a Montessori Primary Teacher Diploma, a B.A. with High Distinction in Religious Studies from the University of Toronto, and Professional Certification from the American College of Vedic Astrology. She has studied several holistic healing arts, and is a practitioner of meditation and Kriya Yoga. She edited Dr.Charanjit Ghooi's books "Meditation and Health", “My Beloved Adipati” and “Integrated Medicine and Health”. Ms. Recht was part of the school administration team when school opened in 2000 for three years and returned in 2009. She holds a Certificate from the Canadian Institute of Sathya Sai Education in the Standard Diploma Course: Course One.

Mrs. Roshan has a Masters of Education from Nipissing University, Ontario; a Bachelor of education from York University; and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto. She completed her Basic Qualifications in the Primary and Junior Divisions and subsequently com-pleted her ABQ in Intermediate Division, English. In addition, she has completed an AQ in Guidance and Career Education, Part 1, an AQ in Special Education, Part 1 and has attended many educational workshops in literacy, numeracy and the arts. She has taught Grades JK, SK, 2, & 3, and Music for Grade 6, and holds a certificate for SSEHV from the British Institute for Sathya Sai Education.

Ms. Ratnavadivel completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto in 2010, majoring in Health Studies and Psychology. She then received her B.Ed from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. After graduating, she completed an Additional Basic Qualification in Intermediate Family Studies, allowing her to teach the Primary, Junior and Intermediate divisions. She has also completed Additional Qualification in Special Education Part 1 and Reading Part 1. She holds a Certificate from the Canadian Institute of Sathya Sai Education in the Standard Diploma Course: Course One.

Ms. Ratnarajah holds an Honours Bachelor Degree in Arts from the University of Western Ontario with a major in English and a minor in Classical Studies. She has a Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa, Primary/Junior divisions, and completed an Additional Qualification course in Reading Part 1. She has worked as an elementary homeroom teacher and Literacy instructor at a Canadian international school in Hong Kong for 4 years, teaching grades 2, 4 and 5. She has taken Professional Development Workshops in Peace and Global Education, Differentiated Instruction, Education of Exceptional Students, Literacy Development, Integration of Technology in the classroom. She is musically trained and plays the flute, guitar and piano.

Mrs. Patel holds a Masters degree in Special Education and a Postgraduate Certificate of Education (Early Years) both from the University of Cambridge, UK, and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from Brunel University, UK. She received her Qualified Teacher Status (GTC) in England and her Ontario Certified Teacher Status (OCT). She has taught in grades SK to 8 in Ontario and grades 4 and 5 in UK, and has integrated Sathya Sai Education in Human Values into her classes.

Mr. Kandavel completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Waterloo in Mathematics and Political Science. He has a Masters of Science in Elementary Education from Medaille College in Amherst, NY, USA. He holds a Certificate from the Canadian Institute of Sathya Sai Education in the Standard Diploma Course: Course One.

Mr. Gandhi holds an Honours Bachelor Degree in Arts from McMaster University, and a Bachelors of Education from the University of Ottawa with a major in History and minor in English, and has completed Additional Qualification courses in Special Education Part 1 and English as a Second Language Part 1. He was a member of the global cohort program at the University of Ottawa, which incorporates social justice components into lesson plans, and worked on a research project to implement environmental education into the Ontario curriculum. He has tutored students in English, ESL, Math, and Public Speaking.

Mr. Petrevski received his Bachelor of Education from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT), graduating with Highest Distinction. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Guelph, specializing in Theatre and Performing Arts, and also holds a diploma in Information Technology from the DeVry Institute. He has completed Additional Qualification courses in Reading Part 1 and Part 2. He holds a Certificate from the Canadian Institute of Sathya Sai Education in the Standard Diploma Course: Course One.

Mrs. Meera Ganga Persad completed twelve years of primary and secondary school education at the Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School, Prashanti Nilayam, India, and then completed her B.Com. at the Sri Sathya Sai University, Anantapur, India. After returning to her hometown, she completed an Accounting Specialist Certification. She completed her M.Sc. in Education from D'Youville College, Buffalo, USA. She holds a Certificate from the Canadian Institute of Sathya Sai Education in the Standard Diploma Course: Course One. Mrs. Ganga Persad is musically talented and has performed in various fundraising programs across India, Canada and Trinidad.

Mr. Buccella has a B.A. Degree from the University of Western Ontario specializing in Sociology and History. He received his Masters in Teaching from Griffith University in Queensland Australia. He has an ABQ in Intermediate Division and is qualified to teach grades K to 10. He has completed AQs including Special Education Part 1, Reading Part 1 and a Certificate to teach English as a Second Language. He has varied teaching experience including ESL to adults, tutoring Math and Literacy to children ages 4 to 12 and teaching in a learning centre for children age 3 to 6. He also tutors high school students up to grade 11.

Mrs. Krishnanand holds an MA (English) from Lucknow University, India; an MA (Education) from Ateneo de Manila, the Philippines; and a B.Ed from Trent Univer¬sity, Ontario. She has completed a number of AQs from OISE: Special Educa¬tion, Reading (Part 1 & 2), ESL (Part 1 & 2), and an ABQ from OISE in Intermediate Division English, and is qualified to teach grades K to 10. She has trained with Spirit of Math, holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications from BITS, India, and is TRIBES trained. She also holds a British Columbia Teaching Certificate (BCTC).

Mr. MacDonald completed a B.A. degree in Elementary Education from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, B.C. He is also qualified as an English as a Second Language teacher with CELTA certification from the University of Cambridge, England. He has completed Additional Qualification in French as a Second Language Part One, and a four-week immersion program of study for French teachers at St Anne University, Nova Scotia. He has over ten years of teaching experience including teaching ESL to adults and children in Japan and teaching grade six in Houston, B.C. and grade three and four in Cuernavaca, Mexico. He holds a Certificate from the Canadian Institute of Sathya Sai Education in the Standard Diploma Course: Course One. He is currently teaching French for Grades 1 to 8.

Ms. Paramanathan holds a Bachelor of Administrative Studies (Honours) from York University and an Early Childhood Education Diploma from Seneca College and is a Registered Early Childhood Educator. She has worked with children from ages 1 to 12 in various schools and daycares and has also worked with children with special needs. Her business training has also been put to use in the planning, implementation and delivery of student programs.
Senior Kindergarten Assistant Teacher
Mrs. Vandana Jhawar | ECE | email: vjhawar
Mrs. Jhawar holds an Ontario College Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Centennial College and graduated with Honours in May 2014. She is a Registered Early Childhood Educator. As an ECE student, she did placements at West Hill Public School, Sir Samuel B Steele Public school and Children of Tomorrow Daycare. During these placements she worked with children of various age groups and planned curriculum based on their cues, needs and interest.
